The USB interface forms a bridge between the USB connector and the UART of the "master" MCU. You don't have to use a microcontroller, but almost any UART to USB bridge chip will do the job. Common ones are the CH340G (cheap and unstable), CP2102, FT232, etc. The DTR signal from the USB chip is used to reset the main MCU..
21.06.2015 · I am looking at a schematic for an IC that outputs to a micro USB connector. I am familiar with USB pins obviously having Vcc, Gnd, D+, D-, and an ID pin which can be grounded to distinguish host/slave device on micro connectors.. So I made a simple USB Y-connector where I took two male USB plugs and one female. Connected the red and black of the female to one of the male USB and the green and yellow alone to the second male USB. powered hubs and legacy USB 1.1 hubs (see USB Hub Types and Cable Performance, page 29 ). However, performance is However, performance is not optimal when attached to USB 1.1 hubs (refer to Hot Plug and Play, page 5 for an explanation of USB enumeration)..
USB Type-C brings a number of significant benefits over prior versions of USB connectors. These benefits include a small reversible connector, two channels of 10 Gbps USB data, flexible alternate modes for transporting non USB data such as video and up to 100 W of power delivery capability.. Use the add tool and select the PN61729 USB connector in the con-berg library. Place it on the schematic and rotate it so the pins can be connected easier. Place it on the schematic and rotate it. the copyrights embodied in the USB Type-C Cable and Connector Specification to use and reproduce the Specification for the sole purpose of, and solely to the extent necessary for, evaluating whether to implement the Specification in products that would comply with the specification.
